If I want to "help" or contribute with the developers.
How can I do this?

Whats language? (C, C++, ...)
I could see all project arch?

Just see the modeling of this system ...

Hi,

What developers do you refer to? There are lots of emulators, and lots of developers behind them. You can support them in many ways. You can donate for some projects like Project 64 to partially support the development. Others projects don't accept donations, but there is always a few things to do to thanks the authors.

You can even involve yourself in a project if you are interested in emulation. Not only coders are requested for emulation projects. Beta testers, designers, webmasters and so are usally wellcome. Suggestions in the forums about how to improve a certain emulator, bugs founds and so also helps.

Feel free to ask whenever you want to.

I'd guess he's referring to Dolphin development, since this is the Dolphin forum, but it wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong.

DO NOT

Ask for GC-iso's (aka gcm's)
Tell people where to get GC-iso's (or tell them to contact you about it)
Don't PM or e-mail us for GC-iso's
Ask how to rip GC-iso's (google is your friend )
Request the source code / Porting Dolphin (to linux or mac)
Request the plugin specs
Insult people without reason, advertise or spam
Don't write in capitals
Double post
Ask to be a betatester
Ask to get the beta version
Don't ask when a new version will be released
Don't ask for updates, they will update when they want/need to

Thanks!

Pretend to be a moderator, or act as though you are a moderator.

Sercio, there is no need to act like that, you can report the post as bad and the staff will do smth about it.

dreampeppers99, even thought you have the best of the intentions, it is forbidden to ask the source code of the emulators here, so no, you cannot see the project arch, or at least not ask for it here.

Thanks a lot,

I was thinking and ...
If we would knows how the emulator works, maybe we could help more and more...

I can imagine this works is very very complex, understand how one newest machine works, take a instructions and reproduce this using algorithm.

I already begin to study a NES emulator and I got a source of Dolwin, if I undestood , could make a site , explain...

Emulate --> Is

Think how the video game works since the first layer (Physical)
Until the last layer (Presatation)
Without use HARDWARE just ideas and software

Still good we have a BIOS .

Thanks for the reply WhiteX; Sercio: helping out people on this board is fine, just don't pretend to be a moderator.

dreampeppers99:
Ofcourse many request like this have been posted on this board regarding helping the dolphin development. Like you already mentioned, the gcn is a complex system. Most of the dev's have done large projects (not all emulator related) which gave them very much expirience to tackle complex problems.

Like most emu teams we're interested in which qualities you have to offer, and which projects you've succes fully completed.

(note: the bios/IPL isn't needed to run games on dolphin. Dolphin 1.03 beta does 'run' the bios AFAIK)
