I have a suggestion for who already succeed in running chankast 0.25. This is including to all expert. Could you Give a screenshot what happened in your screen when you first run chankast. It would be helpfull in understanding the chankast problem.
Step By step what you're doing in your chankast screen (not in how you configure your emu, because it's already done by the chankast manual)
Hopefully people can understand what will be seen if his/her emu work successfully.
I think this is the best way to bring a goodness to all people who don't know at all and don't ever know how chankast can play some games (like me)
So, please help us !!!
Thanks

There is really no special steps in using using Chankast. You simply mount the game in a virtual drive, start up Chankast and make sure that the CD-ROM plugin is set to read from the right drive. Then you just click Run --> Start and hope that the game loads and won't hang or anything like that. Of course, Capcom games work better with the Capcom hack option enabled.

If Chankast asks you to set the date/time more than once or it keeps coming back to the BIOS screen, you'll know that the Dc_flash.bin file is corrupt. If you get a 'Can't read TOC from drive X:' message, then you're trying to use the ASPI CD-ROM plugin under Windows XP; which doesn't work in the first place without ASPI drivers, so use the xxx plugin instead. If the game shows up as an audio CD , chances are that the CD image is corrupt or the CD image is not selfboot.

Ok, I already search twice, for dc_bios.bin & dc_flash.bin. You said that if dc_flash.bin' s date changed it means corrupt? but I can read only this file (the date don't changed) but still don't work & I still can't see letter or alphabet in bios screen. I only see a graphics with no explanation text at all.
Do you know how to fix this situation?
<I search this two bin's file in different website using google.>

Btw, I have already configured all the need like capcom hack, z-write..., but I think the prolem is in this bios. I wonder how the game works if the bios screen is not in appropriate or usually manner.
Can you give me a clue like how exactly the file size of these 2 bin's file(bios&flash), and the modified date when you firstly download them??
And how can I identify if the downloaded bin file is the right ones except using it and get an error again?.

I'll ask this first, and apologies if you've answered before: What video card do you have?

If the Dreamcast BIOS asks you to change the date and time more than once when you first run the BIOS, then you'll know that the Dc_flash.bin is corrupt. The internal time stamp of the file has nothing to do with it, nor can I give any info on what the date should be in a good Dc_flash.bin file.

Yeah you're right, my g-card is low just only 32 bit. Is there matter if only just run a bios?, maybe if run a game that is imposible.
eh, I heard you post a dc_flash.bin in your personal website? But I can't found it (If I'm not wrong, I heard it in 1emulation website)

I removed the Dc_flash.bin file from my websites because the file is actually part of the Dreamcast BIOS and therefore illegal to distribute on the internet, and in violation of both EmuTalk and 1Emulation rules.

If you see letters missing/graphics or strange graphical anomalies in the BIOS, your graphics card is not good enough to run Chankast.

I thought this thread would be instruction about how we'd just throw a chair, or something heavier, at them so they'd not be able to type anymore. This would give them a nice long recovery time to read what's already out there in way of 'how the fuck do I get this shit to run'.

Sadly this is not the case :(
