How do you set the controls for Dolphin ?

I was trying to play a game and it just will not work no matter what button i press on my keyboard........ Any help ?

Which game u r trying to play? Some games like Tale of Symphonia will not work with keyboard....

I'm trying to play a game called Alien Hominid...

I found the control pad, and I set it for certain keys etc. But when I press them nothing happens in the game.
