You might run into some problems with that much ram, that's all we're saying. Windows 98 has a limitation to how much ram it can properly use. A utility like Cacheman from
www.outertech.com can help get rid of the problem.
Like I mentioned in the other thread, you should be able to play some games at near or full speed. I don't know how or why it's so slow...
Although... I remember a bug that was in there a long time ago... Not sure what caused it though. Sometimes the rendering device would just change on me to RGB and the dll insisted it was using Direct3D.
Here's what you want to do. Load up Project64, go to Options, Configure Graphics Options. There should be a selection right next to rendering device, it's a drop down menu. Click on it and choose RGB. Press Ok, now, go back to the screen you just were and choose Direct3D this time, hit apply, then ok.
Load up a rom and tell me if it's at the same speed.
