How do you use Netplay

Can someone walk me through how to use the netplay on Project 64 K? I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to create/joine a game, everytime I try to join a game it says I don't have the specified rom, whereas I do in the same folder as my exe

1. Click on Project64k
2. Click file and scroll down to choose Rom Directory
3. Click the folder where all your roms are.
4. Got to file again.
5. Click Refresh Rom List (or press f5)

Then you go to file..start netplay. Then you should be able to join games that are the same exact version of the rom you have. (If its not the same version, you cant join it)
Also, by pressing create game at the bottom of the kaillera enables you to start your own game, with whatever roms you have. Hope it works-minkster

Wow thanks a lot, I actually did do that but it didnt show until I restarted PJ64K

Thanks anyway, I tried looking for gens.txt (I saw a mod talk about it in another thread) and I couldnt find it
