I searched and the closest thing to an answer was lots of flamming in a jessman1988 thread.

Still no answer.

This vsync thing may fix soem other problems I have. For instance Many of my games (not just Chankast but PC games) run with video and audio out of sync in scenes and sometimes ingame.

I have an Nvidia Gforce 2 (maybe) 64 mb card with latest drivers.

Thank you In advance.

PS - Im not Jessman

I'm not really sure since I have a ATI but I think the step are similar.
Goto Control Panel->Display->Settings->Advanced and look for a panel to control 3d stuff like Anti-Aliasing and Anstrophic Filter. Somewhere should be a setting for V-sync.

@ cuda7171, you still can't play Virtual On?

hmm

does Vsync stand for Vertical Sync or Video Sync? Cause I found Vertical, and... I found my crappy computer has a key feature... my celeron has SSE!!!

I ran chankast on this computer once to test, then found out I needed SSE to run it. So I used my other comp. Now I can ... run it on this shitty comp to :( ... it dosent really help but it may help others.

Vsync is Vertical Sync. As far as I know, Vertical Sync is just used to limit the fps. I know it does help Marvel V Capcom 2 cause without it the game would seem too fast.

Thank you Cid, I will try it as soon as possible.

I thought i didnt have SSE because when the bios loads theres no text on the screen and very crappy models.

Guess thats my Riva TNT 2 for ya.

nope. my images have not worked. i have 3 different versions of the game, have applied the 1st reads to those as well. i have given up. exboot does not make anything working. i have tried all the versions 1.2 1.3 1.31....tried checking every box.every way. oh no flame flame flame fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

i dont know if that is the lastest riva tnt 2 driver or not. the nvidia v sync(vertical synch,my bad) is application controlled. even on the newest driver ...6177( i think that is the newest).

While it is true that it is based on application, you can manually turn it on by yourself (at least ATI card). One important thing is that it only work when you full screen else it does nothing.
Here is what the display should look like below thank to nvidia.com.

@ cuda7171 Try FastBoot. maybe it will help. BTW Virtual On isn't that good IMO.
