I gotta say, first that your post made me laugh a little. I've never seen anyone capitalize each word in a sentance. Usually it's all or nothing, hehe. 
In 1964 if you go to Plug-Ins > Change Plug-ins
First you want to make sure that a "System Default Input Plugin" is selected in the box. If you have just a fresh install of 1964 it should be using N-Rage's 1.80a. If all is well there just hit OK. If not hit the drop down and pick the Input plugin and then hit OK.
Again from 1964 click Plug-Ins > Input Settings
One these screen you can define what keyboard keys you will use as if they were Nintendo64 joystick keys. You can also setup to use a joystick if you have one connected.
