Help With Z Button

Hey guys,

I am new to this forum, and actually new to games as a whole. I'm having a problem with figuring out which computer key corresponds to the "Z" button on the N64 controller. I was playing Donkey Kong, via emulator, on my PC, and I can't get one of the simple tasks at the beginning done because of this.

Thank you in advance to whoever can help me.

Cheers,

thxrvg

Hey Clements,

Thank you for pointing that out to me. I checked the configuration, and I can find the Z now. The thing is that I'm still not able to get through the game. It's obviously not the buttons.

Do you happen to remember it? It's right at the beginning of the game, when the old ape tells Donkey Kong to fulfill a set of assignments. For some reason, I can't get past that game with the five oranges. It says pick them up, hold the Z button, and then the right button to throw them. I've done that repeatedly, but it doesn't seem to work.

A normal one, the average type.

Can you tell me what you exactly did? Maybe I'm doing someting wrong.

If the game needs you to press more than 2 buttons it might not be working cause your keyboard isn't usb but ps2(or w/e its called). If you're keyboard is usb then..i donno

my keyboard is PS/2 and it works fine.

PS/2 keyboards can handle up to 4 keys pressed at once, as long as they aren't directional keys. coupled with shift or ctrl.

for example

i can't have shits plus up and left pressed at the same time... so there goes running diagonally left...
