help with PSX roms

what do i use to play them on my pc, im downloading Brave Fencer Musashi but i dunno how to run it or what to use. I hear you need BIOS and plugins. I have ePSXE160 but i dunno what bios and plugins to use.:bye3:

First of all a PSX emulators doesnt uses roms it uses PSX games or ISOS from PSX games.
Second i cant help you on the Bios because is not allowed in these forums.
Third the plugin depends on your system specs and the game you wanna play sometimes its really tricky to configure epsxe.
Fourth Do not talk about downloading games thats illegal. :term:

Visit NGEmu for all your psx plugin needs. For video, I'd recommend anything by Pete or P.E.Op.S. (this is very much hardware-dependent; you'll have to experiment). For Sound, P.E.Op.S. and Eternal are arguably the best. For the CD-ROM, you probably won't need anything other than ePSXe's built-in system, but it's worth having Mooby's plugin for games with Redbook audio (unless you mount the image in a virtual drive, or run straight from the disk). Read all the documentation, experiment with different plugins/settings, see what works best for you.

You will need the psx bios, but you're on your own with that one. Search google.

i dunno if i can say this or not but i have Digimon world 1-3 but the files are .mdf and .mds how do i run then?

I believe that is Alcohol's format, so you could buy a copy of Alcohol 120% and mount the image in its virtual drive (or use Daemon tools, if mds is supported), or you could use ISOBuster to convert the image to a format that ePSXe supports natively (iso, bin, img).

Better still, just buy a copy of the game. Then you won't have to muck around with any of the above.
