Help with OOT

Well, I downloaded OOT, I get it up (all excited) then it wants me to name my file, I kept trying, I couldn't!!!

I know this has something to do with the controller settings but I fooled around with it alot and still, no results, please give me instructions on how to create a file in OOT, thanks

Button "A" on the N64 controller confirms a letter selection. The "analog stick" moves the cursor for the name-select, as well as ALL movement for the game.

If you can't select a letter for the naming process, make sure you actually have the controller buttons mapped so that you have an "A" button AND a "B" button, and make sure you have "Analog" enabled if you use a gamepad with both analog and digital pad support.
