Help using graphics plugins!

I tried any of Rice's plugins, extracted the dll and ini files into the plugins folder, but pj64 just says "can't find plugin" even though it's right there in the folder! It's not hidden or read only, why won't it work? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

PS. are there other 3-rd party gfx plugins?

Rice's plugin doesn't work too good in pj64, at least for me.
