Help running Tetrisphere?

Has anyone had any luck running tetrisphere nicely? i get very distorted skipping sound. I've tried numerous plugins and emulators in various comnbinations. Any help would would be appreciated. fiL.

1) Buy REAL soundcard - SB Live! for example - $20 maximum.
2) Use Nemu64 - it's the fastest for this game, there's still some skipping, but i have only 900Mhz CPU...

Anyway on any emulator (1964,PJ64, Uhle2064, Nemu) i've never get any distortion, just some skipping.

You get distortions because your soundcard doesn't have DSP and all
signal processing done through CPU and as this game have extremely high system requirements when CPU is 99.999999% busy with gfx you'll get those ugly "hrrrrr!" sounds.
