Has netplay been tested on 8.4?

Hi, I noticed in a screenshot of netplay in the "second" thread. I just want to know is netplay is going to be playable in the next release? Has anyone tried it? thanx.

OK, i imagine it works in game. what i did was, i went to a server (no one on kaillera wants to play n64 games) full of mame people, made a diddy kong racing game, started it (by myself) it lagged a bit, and it said waiting for other players.

conclusion - it works. :D

:p yep, beta tester here... :p i did notice a few bugs that were not in the previous release, like, when you switch to full screen, the V/Is counter sits and does nothing.. plus other various things..

ok well, please please email me these "various things" :)..i am seeing beta testers report problems on the boards but not in email.

Do you think you can try it with someone and tell us what happens? Maybe it desynchs easily and we dont know it, it might be a good idea to test with someone. (Im not trying to be anyone's mom or anything)

[/offtopic] nice avatar it looks pretty cool [/ontopic] will 8.4 or whatever be released anytime soon... or can i be a beta tester cause my dsl connect will be activated on the 13 and ill have it for at least 2 months (plus i have lots of roms and a p3 933 pc133 256ram geforce 2 gts )

It isn't up to me to choose people, but i think there are enough at the moment. But again that's up to rice and schibo to choose people :) btw, thanks for the comment on my avatar. you know, i was inspired to make this one by yours! :) :satisfied:

If you want to be a beta tester, just wait for a post asking for registrations. Plus I don't see how dsl can make you a better beta tester.

so what is it like with other players on netplay? have u tried it yet? how much does it lag and what sort of connection have u got?can u play perfect dark online? if so what is it like? and can i be a beta tester pleaassssseee? can u ask whoever is in charge of handing out the beta copys if i can be a tester?

[/offtopic] thats funny that you where inspired to make that avatar after looking at mine lol :happy: [/ontopic] i think having a little bit of knowledge in c++ (and a c++ programing uh program) can help somewhat in beta testing... and the part about dsl only applies to netplay also i don't understand the "What part of if you wanna be a beta tester wait for a post asking so do you not understand?" part
