Gun input device for Goldeneye?

Hello,

Is there any way a gun like input device (remember the snes superscope and the nes gun?) could be used with goldeneye?

What device would you recommend and how would we stop it from interfering from the players movement (analogue stick control) when not aiming but moving the gun anyway.

thanks,

Chris

You wouldn't be able to use it in a way where you could simply aim at a section of the screen and fire there. The game's aiming works based on relative movements.

As for the second question, you could use an in-game control scheme to use the C-buttons to move and the analogue stick to aim.

But could you perhaps use the gun to move the "target" providing your aim started in the middle of the screen?

Are there any FPS that allow you to use a "gun" in this way?

you can tweak a litle litle the bouton...
n rage plugin suport mouse for c bouton, digital cross and analog stick...
if you are lucky you can play at golden eye like you play a fps on pc!
then for the gun you can use an giration mouse(it can feel a litle like the wii :p)

I found an article that actually says Goldeneye was originally designed to be a "light gun game on rails" but was changed to a FPS.

Here is an intersting light gun for the PC:

In the manual it says you can use them with an FPS but it is not recommend and your chacter will turn to face where you aim.

Also the new wii-mote zapper with inbuilt analogue stick:

Is a light-gun FPS kind of like the holy-grail perhaps showing where traditional gaming ends and VR begins.

I could imagine a different type of "action" that I would like to play the part of Bond for ;)
