Gray Screen on start up O.o

when i try to play Ikaruga or Ecco the Dolphin all i get is a gray screen. I get the Dreamcast intro sound and a little darker square block that i know thats supposed to be the D is it my video card? I'm using Windows XP SP2, 256MB RAM, ATI Radeon Rage 128 PRO II, Intel Pentium 4 1.70GHZ, DirectX 9.0C

Ati Radeon Rage 128 Pro II is surely not a proper video card? I've never heard of such an almagation of other cards before anyways.

So it's either:

An ATI Radeon
or
(and I believe it's this, and if so you are stuffed, sorry)
ATI Rage pro 128.

hn..i looked at the Chip type and it says RAGE128 PRO II sorry about that huge jumble of words lol i was up for most of the morning..

Well, your card is really outdated, but it should be able to run it.

hn...and i've tried to upgrade the driver numerous times and i always wind up getting an "this isn't compatiable" error. Hn...so any suggestions on how to get rid of the gray screen? Should i put my display mode on 16 bit mode? I have it on 32 right now

1-trurn on antrostropic filtering
2-there is problem with your open GL try turning it to max mode instead of auto

1)Turn on what ? Catastrophic filtering ?
How can filtering can help to get Chankast running ?
And Rage 128 knows nothing about that aniso-something. It sounds like "Voodoo 1 with pixel shaders 3.0"

2) OpenGL max mode, yeah right... Energize ! That's not your nVidia-something card, and OpenGL, ClosedLG... Chankast is DirectX (8.1 ?) app.
