Graphics Problem on All Games

Ok, I recently have been playing a variety of games for the N64 and I've noticed a problem. It seems like some areas of graphic is missing. This happened on the ZSNES of I disabled a specific BG Layer but I couldn't find those settings on the Project64 (including advanced) The missing things include

Some Turbos and Water in Diddy Kong Racing
Text for the Trivia in Pokemon Stadium 2 and 90% of the time, the choices
Water in Conkers Bad Fur Day

Also, it seems the text that when someone is talking like on the top or bottom of the screen and not signs or instructions.
Text was missing in WWE No Mercy for when the characters were talking but none of the options or control graphics were missing.

Oh and I'm using Jabos plugins for everything. Rendering is Direct 3D Hal. If you need any more information on how to solve or have any tips please post and I can supply you with necessary info . :)

Some of those are/may be known issues...

For No Mercy, Glide64 will work (you'll probably need a wrapper). It would be good if you could tell us what graphics card you have so we can recommend a good plugin to use.

I installed your unofficial update but still no improvements. I'm not really sure what Graphics card I'm using but on the Settings tab of Display Properties it says Plug and Play Monitor on an Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller.

no problem ;) i got a similar <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=24&k=video%20card" onmouseover="window.status='video card'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">video card</a> (on board)

Any solutons though? This makes some games completely unplayable unless your memorized exactly what to do.

Glide64 and a wrapper (preferably eVoodoo) is generally better for low-end hardware, but don't expect magic. Beyond that you're out of luck. All of the other video plugins require hardware more advanced than what you're using.

Outside of glide64 with a wrapper your screwed,i have a crappy 4 meg integrated card too, stuck with that since my other card died:(.

yeah no offense in that but, youd be better off with the wrapper, because if that doesnt work minimum sys requires have u by the nuts, give us the rest of ur system stats and maybe we can figure sometin else out

Sorry about late reply, rest of system stats
Windows XP SP2
Pentium 4, 2.6 GHz
496 MB RAM

My other computer has
Windows XP SP2
Pentium 4
ATI Radeon 9600 TX
3.2 GHz
and 512 RAM
Would Project64 work well with no graphics problem on that computer?

Your other computer is much better for N64 emulation. Pick up Project64 1.6 for this computer, and use the improved Jabo's D3D8 1.6 that comes with it. The problems you described earlier should be gone.

After reading your post, should I just discard Glide64 and the Wrapper? I didn't know what to do with them anyway.

Use the included wrapper.

Other plugins will work great on your 2nd computer, and of course without a wrapper. Glide64 even with wrapper is a quality enough plugin to at least try with games.

For your other computer with the Radeon, you will not require Glide64 to get good graphics - any graphics plugin will work well, be it Rice's, Jabo's, Direct64/glN64(), Glide64, TR64 or Lemmy's etc.

Glide64 using Hacktarux's wrapper is still a great alternative though for high end machines for some games that don't work with the other plugins. Glide64 comes with Hacktarux's wrapper (Glide3x.dll). This goes in PJ64's main folder (with the PJ64.exe). The plugin itself and the ini file goes in the 'plugins' folder.

For your computer with Intel onboard graphics, Glide64 with eVoodoo is probably the best choice, since other plugins have higher requirements. eVoodoo is a different wrapper that is designed to be compatible with low end hardware (like onboard graphics) to give relatively accurate results. It is setup in a similar way to Hactarux's wrapper - Glide3x.dll and the econtrol.cpl go in the main PJ64 folder.
