Goldeneye exit to desktop glitch

Hi all!
new to this emulation stuff, just discoered it all last month ....... anyway
I'm using pj64 1.6

I've tried
Jabo's Direct3D6 (1.5.2.) and 3D8 (1.6)
Jabo's DirectSound 1.6 and Schibo's audio plugin 1.2

Jabo's 1.5.2 vid plugin seemed to be the most stable in Goldeneye, along with the 1.6 audio, however I still occasionally get the message
"sp dma write
sp dram addr reg not in rdram space"

Schibo's audio plugin and the Jabo's 1.6 vid plugin both seemed to create more instability in the game, resulting in the close of the game witout warning and witout any message afterwards.

I can't really pinpoint any specific occurrence such as high cpu loading
Using the Jabo's 1.5.2 vid plugin and 1.6 audio, I was at the end of level 2 running around the enemy trying to crash the game with a lot going on, but it didn't .... I just died. Then when I tried the level again it was fine until 3 or 4 minutes in, with not much happening, then I got the
"sp dma write
sp dram addr reg not in rdram space"
and I don't know what this message means (looks hardware related)

I'm not entirely sure if it's a plugin or game issue, or if it's my hardware set incorrectly - does anyone else experience this?

I'm using XP Pro 3.2ghz with ATI Radeon 9800XT and 2GB CorsairXMS ram on Alienware Area 51

(The quality of the audio is amazing from that 1.6 Jabo release by the way!)

hope someone has an answer to my bafflings ;)
Rgds
Mike
