Gmail + Firefox problem

Well, I'm using my dad's laptop. Firefox works fine with every page, but somehow has problems with Gmail. First of all the gmail logo images are missing in the login page, and after I logon, the logo image is also missing and the chat doesn't load and shows an error message. I googled for it and there are a lot of discussions but I can't still fix it. It works normally with IE btw. What is wrong?

do you have the latest version of firefox?

if so, try making sure all of the plugins are installed, or make sure its not blocking anything.

Of course I have it. 1.5.0.4. What plugins? I have a 2 extensions: Tab Clicking options and Flashgot, but I don't think they are causing the issue, because I have them installed on another PC

OK, that is weird...

All I can say is it might be a server problem, but I havent used firefox that much, so maybe somebody else would know...
