Glide64 author Gonetz has posted some more screenshots from the upcoming version of this graphic plugin for N64 emulators over at the Glide64 message board:
This is the last series of screen shots in this year. Today’s screen shots should be familiar for you. However, they are different from what you have already seen with Glide64. The difference is in speed and quality. I have implemented fast high-resolution frame buffer emulation. At first I thought it is impossible, but Orkin have proved that it can be done. I thought that it is impossible to do with Glide, but then I met good wizard from the land of the rising sun. His name is Koolsmoky. He gave me magical artifact named “Voodoo5” and taught me a spell which opens it’s power. With such powerful magic in my hands I can create true miracles. You may not believe me, but when I see motion blur scenes, which were running slightly better then slide show, when I see them running smooth as silk and without lost of image quality – I feel magic. May be it’s because I know how hard it was to do, and users will not even notice this – yes, it’s running perfectly, but it’s normal since it’s Glide64
.
The job is not finished, there are many things to do and many bugs to fix, but I already very pleased with current result. If you will keep your voodoo until release, you will not be disappointed.
Nicely done, Gonetz, keep up the good work! Check out the screenshots at the following link: Glide64 screenshots thread.
Don't forget to check out the previously posted screenshots as well, they're available at the Glide64 message board. Thanks to Knuckles for notifying us on IRC.
