Getting Chankast to work

I used to play on SNES emulators back in the day and I am very new to Dreamcast Emulators and I tried reading up on how to get this thing to work but a lot of the words are a bit confusing...if anyone has Aol Instant Messenger...and would they be willing to walk me through getting games to work then that would be pretty cool

Its a bit easier for me to follow directions live...like on AIM because I ask a lot of questions :D

So if anyone could help me then Ide really appreciate it:homestar:

* Get games (either CD images or games on CD-Rs)
* Get the Dreamcast BIOS file(s). Put the in the emulator's folder.
* If you have CD images, mount the image in a virtual drive such as Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%.
* Start the emulator
* Select the CD-ROM and Input plugin you want to use (CDRom Interface xxx and ElSemi's input plugins) and configure them.
* Start emulation.

Also, depending on the games, you might have to enable Capcom Hack/ZWrite/AlphaTest ZWrite

Ok so I have the actual Sonic Adventure 2 CD for dreamcast so how exactly do I get the ISO? Is there some sort of program?

PC CD drives can't read DC discs. As such, you'll either have to make a backup using your Dreamcast (I know it can be done, and sort of have an idea how to do it, but I really can't help you there), or find some other method of obtaining DC images.

And, in case you really want to look it up, there are certain, special PC CD drives that can read DC discs, but only certain, specific models can do it, and they have to be modified for it to work, and it only works for cerain games.

Basically, your DC games are not playable on the PC. Your computer can't read the discs. You'll need to search these forums, or Google search to find out how to get DC discs onto your PC.
