Getting BFD to run well?

ReadMe

Had a browse thorugh the forums, but most threads I can find about this are a little dated now and the system specs are nothing like mine.

Basically I'm after a bit of help as to which emulators plugins and settings i should use to get conkers BFD running pretty smoothly, visually and audially. (that even a word?)

System Specs are as follows:
Intel Celeron 2.4Ghz
256MB DDR SDRAM
Crystal WDM Audio
Intel 82852/82855 64MB shared gfx (supports OpenGL and D3D)
Direct X9.0b

Any tips guys?

Actually, it runs just fine with Project 64, standard options. Just make sure you use Direct 3D as rendering device :icecream:

Ta for the speedy reply. Dont i look like the fool now eh? been fiddling with 1964 to try and get it going.

Only 1 prob now tho - t'old conker has no shadow, either he's a vampire or there's a setting i can change somewhere?

Kinda offtopic but can anyone recommend a good place to get a N64 pad -> USB converter in the UK?

Sorry this doesn't *exactly* apply to your problem, but don't expect to get great graphics with that intel video. Built on video tends to be the hardest to get working well. So if games run fine without too much tweaking, but look a *little* off (but still playable), consider yourself quite lucky.

If the Intel graphics I use at Uni are anything to go by that have 64MB they are accurate with Jabo's plugin, but they are very slow compared to, say, a GeForce4 MX. Just use all the speed tricks such as using HLE audio, 1964 0.9.9, frameskip etc. to improve the frame rate.

Not supported with Jabo's plugin, and possibly others.

Glide64 0.7 ME... Only one thing - you must have Voodoo4 or higher - shadow requires HWFBE

the old guy
hac is working on a great wrapper for voodoo-less people. once hardware framebuffer is implemented it should work great.
