Geforce 8 Details

HTAFC will rise again!!!
I'm happy with my new Geforce 7600GT :)

seems nice....

"NVIDIA’s GeForce 8800GTX will be the flagship product. The core clock will be factory clocked at 575 MHz. All GeForce 8800GTX cards will be equipped with 768MB of GDDR3 memory, to be clocked at 900 MHz. The GeForce 8800GTX will also have a 384-bit memory interface and deliver 86GB/second of memory bandwidth. GeForce 8800GTX graphics cards are equipped with 128 unified shaders clocked at 1350 MHz. The theoretical texture fill-rate is around 38.4 billion pixels per second. "

Doomulation

?????????????????????????
They will be dual slot solutions, which I think is just utter nonsense. It means it is a flawed card which have not recieved enough work to be finalized yet. It reminds me of the early Geforce FX cards.
I'll stick with this GeForce 7800 GT for a while yet.

It reminds me the Geforce FX too. And does things are huge. I mean 11 inches?. I'll stick with my new 7600GS

Seems a bit silly to me. "How many GeForce's can we release in a year that people will still buy?" :p

Well, actionally the Geforce 8 is a necessary step because they will be Direct3D 10. However I'm agree with Doom that is a not well developed product. And I am also agree with Shiz, for example the Geforce 7 architecture is exactly as the Geforce 6 (Shader Model 3.0) except that has more pipelines, and in some cases better memory and higher clock rates (with also some tweaked PureVideo crap, etc.)

I cant wait to see what these puppies can put out.

Of course the main reason Im excited, is price drops on the Ge Force 7 series :p

Meh...
I thought NVIDIA weren't gonna use unified shaders. Hey.. whatever works.. but this seems to be like a new-gen voodoo 5 6000 remake... the 8800GTX 11 inches? Wasn't the voodoo 5 6000 12 inches? This thing will be a monster.. and I bet it's gonna be a loud motherfucker too. Well, it has only 1 GPU rather than 4 separate ones. So I guess that's ok, lol.

You know the reason why it's so big.. a lot of memory on that sucker.

soon these video cards will require their own 500w psu lol

I was thinking more along the lines of a "Video board" where you have to build your own Video card by putting your own Graphics chip, Heatsync, and RAM on the "Video board" With of course a lot of power feeding to it.
