I hope this is the right place, but I have a problem with an FTP server that I run and I was wondering if I could get an answer here. It's been working fine until my friend got this message (this is from the server-side log)

Any ideas? I've never seen this error message before...

Just Another Wacko ;)
Seems like your friend tries to connect using the IP his PC has on his local network (his PC is on the same network as the Server?) while the server expects for the Internet IP to be used instead.

This message could mean that he uses a router on his network but he didn't configure port correctly (or not at all) on the router. If that's the case be aware that some routers also have problems when it comes to port forwarding (port forwarding does not work as it should on them, or does not work at all).
Tell him to reboot his router and try to reconnect and as a last resort, to use a different firmware for his router.

Good luck :)
