F-Zero X doesn't display?!!

I have since upgraded to Windows XP, which has solved my multiple gamepad problems, only to be assaulted by my next problem...F-Xero X loads, and runs, plays sounds, but doesn't display anything! I am using an ATI Radeon 7000 with 64MB SDRam, 796MB PC133 Ram, and an Tbird clocked at 900mhz. Please tell me I'm forgetting to do something easy...please?

F-Zero-X is one of the few games that plays and displays perfectly with none of the pausing problems that so many other games have when using 1.5. Are you sure you are using a good ROM? If you are sure the rom is good, I would reinstall PJ64 1.5 and leave all the default settings/plugins. Also, make sure you have Directx 8.1 installed and the most current drivers for your videocard.

Specs:
WinXP, P4 2.0ghz, 512MB DDR, Geforce4Ti4200, SB Live 5.1

That's a great Idea. I will go do that right now. I know the rom's good because it worked fine when I had win2k installed. Thanks for the suggestion, hopefully it'll work!

Well I tried that, and it didn't work. So I'd have to assume that with the lastest Radeon XP drivers, it breaks this ONE game! Craptacular. I love it how ATI fixes one thing and breaks 2 others in each driver release. Lucky I'd never own an ATI on my main gaming machine!! :)

Never had any problems with my ATI Radeon and any of the N64 emu's. Never had a problem with my TNT2 before that for that matter.

Guess it's all in the setup...

well the radeon cards are very nice, but the drivers suck, which is probably your problem

You must replace default winXP Radeon drivers by originals ATI drivers. Go on ati.com and download ATI originals drivers. It should work. I have an old ATI and since I've updated XP drivers with goods drivers Pj64 works better.

?????????????????????????
Also make SURE it's a good rom! Even though it might have worked before, it doesn't mean it's good. Use goodn64 to veryify this. But since it works now, i suppose it doesn't matter.
