Every Game looks crappy

Sorry if I am a total newb to 64 emu, but I have a problem. Every Game I load on P64 looks like absolute crap. I can make out general shapes, but everything is blocky or stretched or crapificated. I am pretty sure it has something to do with "plugins" or graphics settings somewhere, but I have no idea what any of that means at all. I have no Idea where to start screwing with those settings. I am running Geforce 4 MX (integrated) on my 2.12 GHz Win 2000 machine. Please help give me some idea where to start.

1st: Make sure that you have the latest video drivers for your graphics card.
This should be enough but if you are still having problems make sure that you have directX 8.1 or later installed on your system.

It doesn't have anything to do with the plugins because everyone else doesn't have too many problems with most games. What games are you trying to run? Also like PsyMan said, get the newest drivers and newest direct x
