Hello!. I am a new member to the project64 forums so bear with me.I am facing a very ODD prob with my project64 1.5 emulator and i don't know how to solve it ...:plain: This is the prob : When i go to the options\settings after i am inside the emulator it pops up a warning window that says : "Failed to load plugin: "the path of the emulator\plugin\jambo_dinput.dll".And i can't fix it ... Also i am facing another prob with the roms ....emmmm... i can't view them the way i should , when i configure the graphics configuration with the direct 3d hal the games looks pretty f**** UGLY!??? .I can only see white polygons and nothing else... But when i change the settings to rgb emulation the emulation is perfect and the graphics are the way they should be , no polygons and stuff like that ...BUT! there is always a But! its VERY VERY VERY SLOWWW!!!!! .So if you have any ideas of how to solve this prob i would like ti hear them (its urgent!!). My systems requirements are : Pentium 4 - 2,26Ghz , 256 Rd ram , Gforce 4 64 mb 440 mx , directx 8.1 , win98/xp(i have two hard disks , the emulator is on the win 98 second edition!). ;)

number 1, are u using the default gfx plugin?
number 2, try it on xp.
number 3, rgb emulation is slow cos it would need a gazzilion times more powerful pc than the most powerful one available :).
number 4, dunno about the plugin prob, try to download the plugin again. and put it into the plugin folder. its not a broken path cos all the plugins are in the same folder and its only the input one that isnt working.
number 5, sounds like u have enabled wire from reterisation. (spelling), thats why ure roms are all polygons. but if this isnt the case, see 1 and 2 :)

hope that helps

Just out of curiosity, what version of Directx are u running? You will want the latest installed and configured - or at least ver 8. Also, try downloading the latest nVidia driver for your video card from their site (I think its up to ver 40.72 now). If you find you need to update any of these things, uninstall/reinstall your emulator (quickest way to go back to default settings) and try again using just the defaults. Your system seems more than capable of running the emulator, so I'm sure it will be a simple fix.

BTW, running XP is a good idea just for its stability, but the emulator will run just fine on 98 assuming everything else is up-to-date.

Emu Lover
just another curiosity,
have u installed microsoft office ? i dunno if this related or not, coz like others emu that i know (not related) such as VGS (psx emu) u need a certain dll files to run the emu, if u know what dll file is, u can just copy it, since i didn't i only install the office and it works, and same thing happens to my pj64 when i reinstall my windows and i haven't install my office yet :p , when i install it, the emu works, dunno if its the real prob tho lol <_<
