At your service, dood!
One dies, more will take their place.

It's a massive game of Whack a mole baby!

There are still plenty of torrent sites to keep me happy for one.

The MPAA are doing what the RIAA do, I reckon... they knock a few sites down and think they'll scare the rest, scare tactics are RIAA/MPAA's favourites.

Nobody takes the RIAA seriously so why should I take MPAA? Bittorrent will never die.. Heil bittorrent! Lets all start a bittorrent cult ;)

Suprnova has been having a whole host of problems recently, so this would just be the icing on the cake.

I do wonder what happened to Exeem (or whatever it was called) though.

I've got the beta of Exeem. It's a decent enough idea, the trouble is no one shares files that much, and seeding of files doesn't seem to have caught on much either.

Still it's a promising concept, that has more chance or succeeding now, than it did then I'm sure :)

In the last week the Movie Picture Ass. of America
just thought it was funny how they abbreviated it

There is still a mirror of Suprnova out there to find, among others. Bittorrent is alive and well.

The problem is simply one of media attention, imo. There had been a ton of articles basically pointing out the popular sites, giving them more traffic and gaining the MPAA's notice.

I find it funny how one countries f00ked legal system and organizations (USA, mine) can influence other places where copyrights are paid little notice or consumers have more rights...

It might be funny if not for the fact that the great majority of this stuff is created in the US, thus, the people who have created stuff (music, games, movies) want the right to protect it and sell it how they see fit, whether we agree or not.
