Dreamcast Lightgun assistance.

Hey, everyone. I recently aquired a Dreamcast Mad Catz Lightgun for FREE along with 16 games! But, I'm having some problems. You see? I've tested the gun out with DreamSNES, NesterDC, Virtua Cop 2, The House of the Dead 2, and Confidential Mission and there seems to be a problem with each of these. There's EXTREMELY bad aiming, and for some reason I just can't properly calibrate the gun. It's like I have to "guess" where to shoot next, even when I line the aiming nub PERFECTLY with anything on screen. I'm guessing that the problem is one of two things: 1.) Mad Catz just can't make any quality products, or 2.) The gun is wasted and I need to buy some factory sealed guns. This is where YOU come in because I would like to know what gun you guys would recommend me to buy that actually works and maybe a link to a site that carries it. I'm sorry for constantly drowning you with pointless queries, but this one is ACTUALLY important to me. Please give me your thoughts, as I've waited for YEARS to have a Dreamcast gun. The last gun that I've actually bought was for the NES! And it even works better than this Dreamcast one! GRRAH!

You need to buy a real SEGA Gun. Be careful tho. Make sure it's made for your region. I have a SEGA Japanese DC Gun and it won't work with my Australian/Euro DC. There's firmware in the gun that is checked against the firmware in the DC.

Yeah, tell me about it. I have an American Dreamcast though. I just wanted to know if you'd happen to have a link to a site with a fairly inexpensive Dreamcast gun. Prolly not, now that you've mentioned that your DC is EURO. By the way, if that gun works on an American Dreamcast I'd gladly buy it from you. Of course, we have no real way of testing it, so even if you would sell it to me I couldn't be sure if I'd get any performance out of it. I checked Lik-Sang.com and they have NO guns for the DC. I also looked at ebaY and Amazon.com and while ebaY has guns, they're too expensive and they only come in packs with games that I already own. Amazon doesn't have any guns either. Shoot...you'd think it would be just a LITTLE bit easier to find a gun. I mean, with over 5 different models, you'd expect to see more guns than Samba de Amigo's Marracas! Oh well. I guess I can handle being a dead-eye, lol.
