I'm not sure how many of you have Doom 3 yet, it absolutely ROCKS!

I just thought i would post some extra things i found that the developers left in the game, to access them bring down the console (CTRL + ALT + `) and type the following commands WITHOUT QUOTEMARKS:-

"map testmaps\test_box" - Just a box...really...its boring!
"map testmaps\test_boxstack" - This is actually good fun!
"map testmaps\test_lotsaimps" - Watch your framerate DROP!
"map game\pdas" - MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!
"playdemo demo1" - a short-clip of someone playing (dunno who)
"playdemo shot_demo001" - A single screenshot
"playdemo shot_demo002" - Another screenshot

Well, this is what i've found and i hope you enjoy them, i've typed these from memory so report any problems and most definately post more if you've found anything else (not bothered about cheats though :yawn: )

not prepared to shell out 54 bux for a game, going to wait till its like 30 or 40, then i'll think about it, Halo 2 is a different story, 54 dollars, go special edition!

Doom 3 is worth every second it takes to unzi.. I mean, err... It's worth every cent it takes to buy it! *whistles innocently*

Greed? How about the sour taste of illegal copying poisoning the market for legitimate gamers? BTW, Wal-Mart has it for $49, it'll probably come down more in a month or two.

Yes, it's greed. It would have been just as feasible and profitable had they sold the game for 50 bucks instead of 55. It may not actually BE that big of a difference but it LOOKS like it is and that kills it for a lot of people. Pirated software isn't actually as bad as most people make it out to be. I work at a game store, I should know.

Yeah , John Carmack said in an interview , that doom 3 should be played from midnight until 6 O'clock in a complete dark room . The gameplay is friggin' awesome when you do so :D

Currently at level 11, of 26(?) total. No cheating or anything. :) Playing a couple hours here & there when I find time.

EDIT: Yeah, I'm playing through on easy first, then work my way up. Doubt I'll ever go through with nightmare mode, just because I'll lose interest by then.

I've just got to Alpha Labs 4, I'm playing on easy...'cos i'm a pussy and scared sh*tless (I do have mild Aracnophobia) :paperbag:

I'm also playing on easy because i don't have amazing skills on FPS games (but I love 'em, isn't it ironic :p ), although I am genuinely terrified of this game I do intend to play through on the harder difficulty levels (I'm not completely lame :whistling ).

hehehe, no harm in being honest. You have to start somewhere and it is a fairly hard game (luckily there is lot's of ammo and health hidden places). I haven't died too many times (on the second setting) but I've been really really close (down to 1 health after a fight) many times. I'm so suprised by the length of this game, I thought I was almost done a long while ago but I'm still going. I believe I've just entered the Caverns.

This is the best game with nothing new in terms of raw gameplay in a long time. It plays almost the same as any other first person shooter but it's immersive, has amazing atmosphere, graphics, and sound, it even comes with a plot at no extra cost! Now I'm looking forward to Half-life 2 even more because I was only moderately interested in all the Doom 3 hype and ended up being impressed. Bring on the mods.

Lol , the only time , i've died was when i stroke a Oil Barrel with my flashlight in the very first level :p The enemies are less harmful for me than myself xD My lowest health was about 40...

My tip is that HL²willcome out Winter 2014... :D :D :D
