Donkey kong 64 sound problem

Hi, everybody, :bouncy:

It’s my first time on this Forum.

I’ve been trying to finish Donkey kong 64. I started using Project64 but I
had a lot of troubles, so I changed to 1964.

With some help (including from this Forum), I reached Creepy Castle
without many problems, but now a strange thing is happening. I’m playing
the game and suddenly the sound becomes very strange. It becomes noisy and
discontinuous. It’s frustrating, :huh: cause everything was almost perfect till
now.

I also noted that when I use the game save (Pressing Enter an choosing
save), it doesn’t work. I try to load the game and it seems that I didn’t
save it. When I save the game using F5 it works, but I can’t fix the
problem with the sound. I tried to save the game to a project64 save state
file but I doesn’t work. Or the sound presents the same problem or I have
the message “sp dma read error”.

Has anyone already finished the game without troubles?

Is there any emulator that runs DK64 better than 1964?

Is there any solution for the sound and the save problems?
