Donkey Kong 64 Plays Slowly :(

i have read the gameFAQ & it says set CF to 4,but it still plays slow,its barely playable,here are my specs :

AMD 1800+XP(1.56ghz)
256MB DDR RAM(2100)
Maxtor 40gb 7200 RPM Hard Drive
Geforce 2 MX440 64MB AGP/+TV-OUT

i have 92 roms in total but i wanna play DK64!

Actually, you want to lower the CF to speed things up, but you'll likely see some crashes. Possibly some unpassable points as well.
