Dolphin Error

Hi. I'm a huge zelda fan and I've always wanted to play Twilight Princess. Since it's also available for gamecube, I Thought I'd download Dolphin and run TP on it. But all I get is some kind of error message about the sound. First I get:

unknown ucode (CRC = 6ca33a6d) - forcing AX

When I Click OK. I get another eror.

Unknown AX command and a whole bunch of numbers.

I haven't tried any other games with the emulator. So is it because of this game or because of my settings i get this msg? PLZ help me!!

I'm not certain if this is the issue, but if you are using a dual core processor, Dolphin hasn't been coded to work with TP on dual core right now, so make sure your processor settings are set to single core. A lot of times this is the issue, but it seems like yours has more to do with sound, which is not my ballpark.

Dual Core doesn't have much to do with it. If it's single-threaded, only one processor is used in many cases.
Some games have problems with Dual Cores, but emulators do not.

The Single core option is part of the emulator (look at the menus and uncheck "Enable Dual Core").
There's also a problem with TP d/l from the internet that don't incorporate a fix.

Playing TP on Dolphin will not do the Zelda series justice for a fan. Go play the Wii version :D

I'd love to play the Wii version. Too bad the only person I know who has a Wii is my cousin and he hates Zelda.

your problem is simple:

all GameCube emu do not support full DSP emulation (the Audio).

so, dolphin give you a "error message", because that was a unemulated part.

IIRC, Dolphin has to pretty much guess how to emulate sound based on what kind of data the game sends to the system. This is because the GameCube's sound hardware is inadequately documented and different games use different methods to "create" audio.

So in the end, because there is no way to emulate the sound hardware accurately, most games do not have sound and/or the emulator shows error messages.

Correct me if I'm wrong though.
