do you need 5.1 speakers to use EAX?

I'm thinkin about getting a SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 sound card and i was wondering is it good for games a music? Also...can you use EAX on any speakers as long as your sound card supports EAX sound? thanks

Yes, eax will work on any speakers, but as with all sound, it's better with more speakers.

That's a great card for games and music.
