Crash and cheats

I was playing oncarina of time full screen when somone instant messaged me on AIM and caused my computer to crash, fully shut me down, is this because i was in full screen or is it 1964 itself, ive never had somone message me while i played in full screen?

Also these cheat codes seem to lock the game up after you apply then then go to the item/menu screen, and can you apply cheats after you've already progressed and saved a game?

The crash is from your video plugin, but it is usually caused by your video card driver and/or overclocking.

Ok good point, and i know my questions SUCK!!!!!!! but bear with me, i am not a dumb dumb.

Why does this not happen when i play GTA III on my computer?
its a PC game i purchaced, and my video card processes this game nicley no bad spots at all.

700 MHz p4 or amd
128 mb ram
directX 8.1

There is no such thing as a P4 700 mhz. P4s are at least 1.4 ghz.

A good point. I guess you will be able to understand the reason if you understand how the video plugins and official GTA III game are developed, and be able to understand what kind of stresses make companies release the drivers even they know their software is not bug free.

(I hope someone understands what I am talking about.)
