controller error message

im using a laptop trying to play pokemon stadium and this message scrolls across the screen. none of my keyboard keys are responding

"controller 1 is not connected. turn the N64 controller deck OFF and plug controller 1 into controller socket 1."

ive tried everything in the options>configure controller plugin

What type of controller plugin do you use?

Make sure that Player 1 controller is marked as Plugged in. Updat your RDB file just in case as well if you haven't already.

i usually just refer them to the rules thread for this one... specifically the RTFM section.

i dont have a controller im trying to use my keyboard. says my input plugin is jabo's directinput7 1.6
says that for audio and and video too.
still not working

You still need to check the box in the input plugin.
