Controller Analog Problems

Hey,

I'm using a PlayStation One controller (as in the PSOne) with a USB adapter, and for some reason when I push in the analog button, every other button just locks up and I can't get any anolog movements to regester within PJ64's controller config. So, I was wondering how I'm able to get my analog stick working within this emulator? This is the only N64 emulator I've tried, so I'm not sure if 1964 or whatever others would maybe be better for this, but every game works perfect so far - I just need the analog stick to work since the N64 is pretty much based around the thing, being that it was the first system to use one.

So, do I just need a different controller, maybe, or is there some sort of driver I might need? I'm really new to emulators and this type of thing, so please bare with me if possible.

Thanks for any help you're able to share.

Follow up:

I've went into windows 'game controllers', and tried calibrating my analog stick, but when the analog button's on it won't recognize anything on the controller; and when the button's turned off, everything works except the analog stick. I think it's possibly the PSOne controller, though, since certain PlayStation 2 titles won't even recognize the thing, but it's now the only one I have since I sold my PS2... I'm sh** out of luck, or: SooL. :)
