Cant run Dead or Alive 2 US ver ("Insert Game Disc")

Hi all,

Can anyone pls help me with this game?

I got the DOA2 US version by Utopia...

I mounted the DEAD2 bin in my Virtual drive...

Ran Chankast .25 (and also .2a), Dreamcast menu shows the Play, File, Music, Settings menu.. I press Play and the message "Please Insert Game Disc" .

(I was able to play other DC games like Soul Calibur and Marvel vs Capcom2 with no problems (well, aside from being a bit slow ))

The mounted CD shows the ff:

<DOA2> <folder>
1st_read.bin
IP.bin
0GDTEX.PVR

Ive searched the forums for solutions, what i found was a discussion about DOA2 - Limited Edition (Japan), and it talks about modifying the 1st_read and IP bins I think. It did not say the US version needs the same fix..

can anyone pls give some suggestions? much appreiated, thanks

It sounds like the game doesnt self boot. get the utopia boot cd mount that first and start the emulator. change the disc in the mounted drive to the game image when it prompts you to.
