Works fine for me, just passed that part. (PJ64 + default plugins.) Up C to aim and Z-trigger to fire.

I have the same problem. But do i have to go in there to finish the game?

Yes.

I haven't tried the game in 1964. I know it works in PJ64.

i have 1964 and there it dosent work. What do you get in there?

It leads to Witchyworld (and future all the levels), which makes this vital to the game.

See this is why its a shame 1964 dont have the cool mods that pj does you can skip right through that with the warp mods straight where ever you want :)

or and PJ64 used to have this problem while work was being done on it to play this game

I remember this problem being posted before somewhere...

Also, in Terrydactyland, you cannot blow up the cavemen with the Kazooie egg. Apparently, 1964 has problems with hitting targets in this game. :(

you mean cheats chris, 1964 has those, are you blind ;)

No Cause I made both files ;) and when i say cool mods that pj does i mean just what i say.

you can skip right through the Game with the warp mods straight where ever you want via the ?? Option mods :) those definattly are not in the file or will be.

Edit: Yes Im aware that i have just logged in as Gent but my System is Dieing and i am on another Comp trying to back up and salvage what i can including important files that are nowhere else but my hdd.

At your service, dood!
Using the "(U) [!]" version of this rom I came accross this problem myself, tried various things, nothing has worked.

My only guess is that this is a core bug and cannot be resolved, you must use project64 to play this game then I suppose.

The only way to get past it in the (e) version , was to use a warp cheat . it occurs on PJ64 , too . But it doesn't appeared for me with the (u) version + PJ64 and 1964 . It can be also a game bug IMO !

I can remember that someone tested if that bug occurs on the original n64 ( european ) and it was really present ! I can't remember where that thread is , i think it's so old that Martin already cleaned it away :(

For the (U) version of this rom its definatly working in PJ64, its a 1964 core bug I know that for a certainty now...

PJ53 Problem

I've had this same problem for 1964. So I tried using Project 64 instead, since many people have posted that they had no problem using it. But whenever I try running the game on the emulator, it won't work, and it also says "Not Supported" as the game status. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they fixed it if they did...

uhm i see not everone is dong a check to see if this problem has been sorted

YOu can not get past in this point in 1964 with out using cheats.

The answer is in my faq.

Q:- switch green in plateau not work for open the gate with the fire egg.

A:- No issue's in Pj64 using (u) rom

A(b):- Can get past this with cheats in 1964v0.9.9

If you still want to only get past this point u can transfer the save over to pj64 then back to 1964, but u will have problems later in the game.

The best option is to transfer the save(eep) to pj64

I have the same problem here and I have a question...

When I save in 1964, it creates 3 files:
.m0, .eep and .sav0,
.sav0 being the largest(about 1,4 megs) and the other 2 are less than 40kb.

How do I transfer these into Project 64? I have been trying for the past hour but no luck.

I'm suprised you got this wrong 4real, you can get past this point in 1964 without cheats, it depends on the version of the emulator you use. 0.9.9 requires cheats because it has a core bug, 0.8.5 does not have such a problem. (Yeah i'm late with this responce since it was May you posted that)

You'd have been correct if you had said "You can't get past this point in 0.9.9 but you can in 0.8.5"

As for your answer Mottis, Project64 uses a different name for its save file, so start the game in project64 and play it for about a minute or something like that. Go to Project64's save directory and find the Banjo-Tooie files it created, name the ones from 1964 the same as the ones project64 created and then copy them over. [yeah I know that sounds a tad confusing]

http://www.banjotooiefaq.co.uk/faq.html I personally think you should take a look at 4reals page, it contains a ton of useful information on project64 setups. My prefered setup is the 1964 0.8.5 one which there is a step by step guide on that page, there is the Project64 setup as well though so its up to you.

Lol yes i was wrong on that you can get past this in 8.5 and the faq will be updated as well.

Funny how i missed that all this time and in the faq it say about getting past this with v8.5 with your config.

Well spotted and yes you did take ya time lol :)
