ATI Radeon problems with Graphics Plugins

Alright so I finally got a reasonably priced graphics card and ran Project 64. All of a sudden Jabo's Direct3D Plugin no longer works, it gives me that Direct 3D HAL error or whatever. glN64 is too slow and skrews up the sound, Direct64 gives me a completely blank screen, the only one I've tried which seems to work alright now is Rice's plugin. Rice's plugin runs full speed without messing up the sound, but there's one rather horrible problem with it, which causes a lot of things to just flicker in and out of sight. It's hard to explain, but in Ocarina of Time, for example, bits of the paths and certain textures just keep appearing and disappearing, like 'chunks' of it, flickering like crazy, everywhere, even in the sky in some places. It's crazy. Is there anything anyone could reccomend?

At your service, dood!
There's a Forum Sticky for this (the Jabo issue anyway) and you clearly weren't looking: http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?t=20860

As for Direct64, update your video card drivers from ATI.com and it might spring to life. It all depends which graphics card we're talking about.

It is also difficult to give an answer if you do not provide your system specifications on your post, click Start, hit run and type in "Dxdiag" to find out some of this info.

ATI Radeon 9200 SE Atlantis, or something. I just got the one I could find which was the best for the cheapest price. It runs most PC games brilliantly but it does tend to struggle a little here and there with emulation, but obviously that can be expected.

All those plugins should work fine with the latest drivers - or at least something like Catalyst 4.10. Direct64 needs Catalyst 4.9 or above or it won't work properly (or at all) on a Radeon 8500/9200 class card.

So try upgrading drivers. Personally I use a Radeon 8500 128mb, and experience no problems at all.

Ah thanks. (Nice 'The Office' pic btw, lol) I've been to the Catalyst website, and my card (9200) isn't listed in the compatible cards. It has later models only. I don't know if I should risk it. Plus I got a 56k so 14meg downloads take a while.

If all else fails, try setting your color depth to 16bpp. That's how I got it to work on my Radeon 9200.
