Any plugins work with All Star Baseball?

I've tried getting all versions of All Star Baseball working with a few video plugins, trying every setting without any luck. You can't read any of the text and it makes it unplayable. Has anyone had any luck with this game with some obscure settings?

none of the plugins i have tried can show the text so i guess you will have to live with it until someone can fix it.

I thought I saw something about this being playable in 1964 with the 1964 opengl plugin.
