Why is everyone applauding for Link's 'new' eye design when they clearly are not altered at all??

what is this game and when was there actually an eye design, and then why is there a new eye design that is basically the same. Difference being one looks all grainy and won looks like a cartoon drawing...

The eyebrows are thicker and ther blak part of the eye is wider, no more "cat's eyes".

I think Link from Zelda OOT is the best looking link. :-/ It's a much more mature artform rather then anime-crap. That is the Link I'd like to see.
