Alternative to Adaptoid?

teh meh

I understand that the Adaptoid is the best PC-N64 Controller interface, but from what I understand, they may not be selling many more of them... ???

See

And so I'm wondering, is there an alternative that is widely compatible with the N64 emulators? I'm not really concerned if they work with rumble features or mem card features.

I noticed that they have this one at that same site, that seems to do the same thing, can anyone tell me how well this adapter works with the emulators?

I'm not really worried about the controller paks much at all... all I'm focused on is emulator support. Would the second option have the same compatiblity with my N64 Emulators as the Adaptoid would (that is, if I can't manage to get an Adaptoid)?

Thanks in advance.

I bought the N64+PSX USB adapter off of Lik-Sang a few months ago. It works great- exactly what I expected, you can't go wrong with it. The only thing I'm worried about is that small box breaking one day- Adaptoid looks hard to break. Check out my new post about the GC adapter!

hold on dont say perfect cuz it isnt.though it works very good it isnt perfect. i also have this adapter and i dont know if it is just mine or if all of them do it but, the stick doesnt always work good. like in mario kart when setting up a game left and right are very hard to get working. i havent noticed much of a problem with it once i get the game going though. also in both 007 games the person moves slower than normal, not much but just enough to get real annoying and make the game harder. like i said i dont know if these things only happen with mine or if they happen with all of these psx n64 adapters.

I also use the Boom adapter, and I too had this problem. That is until I calibrated the analog stick. That's an important step, did you calibrate yours? :)

Check the input settings for the plugin (N-Rage is best). If it's at default the analog stick range is probably set at around 65 I think. Obviously give it more range if this is the case because I know I had to adjust my settings.
Not to scare anyone but my Boom adapter stopped working- BUT my power supply blew up the other day and another controller stopped working as well. Yeah, no warranty on that bad-boy Boom adapter. I bought an Adaptoid to replace it, although more expensive it does include a 1 year warranty. I bought one mostly because apparently they are stoping the manufacturing of the Adaptoid.
