Sytaylor, the EU doesn't force farmers to sell their produce. The way it works is that the Common Agricultural Policy sets out minimum prices for certain food products so that European markets aren't swamped with cheap imports (and also to act as buffer stocks in case of a food shortage . However it is true that the CAP is massivly over the top and blocks poorer farmers from less developed countries from selling their produce in the EU. It also can lead to a flooding of cheap produce into these developing countries so it works out bad both ways.

So, to conclude, the CAP is bad, and should be severly slimmed down (thus hopefully forcing more economies of scale on the farmers in Europe), but please get your facts right before stating inaccuracies about the EU

FYI the media tends to make more money by bad mouthing the government. You never see any news about something good the US government does - if so I would love to see it. Also, from what I see, a lot of european media groups are a bunch of teapots calling the kettle black, they focus on everything that we do wrong, with zero reguard for what their own government does (especialy france), hence people do tend to get a bad flavor in their mouth about us.

The one big difference between the US and europe is that in the US unemployed people are being considered as lazy and barely get support from the state wheras in europe unemployed people are considered as desperate and poor people who get some support - enough to survive but still not too much to make work attractive ........ I mean, in the US there are also other factors like racism that black people with equal qualities like white ones get bad wages and so on........... I'm not telling that US = bad / Europe = a bit better ....... more that Europe considers economy for the people wheras US mostly is more capitalistic and considers people for the will of economy

Bullshit, I have seen people who don't even have a job that collect unemployment from the state, which is always just enough to keep them alive, then they complain its not enough, and then they end up spending it on crap.

Also I've read a very good article. It says that the majority of the poor people are black and so the majority of the white people don't want the state to aid the poor ones coz "it helps the black people more than us (white)" - hmmmm - I know there is racism everywhere but this thinking just stinks ...

Oh realy? I want to see this article. Who did they interview? missippians? Yeah, they represent the rest of us real well, I wonder how many people bought an issue of that magazine just to hear some dirt about us, because I guarentee you they made a lot of money from it.

meh the CAG sucks regardless, and it does cause a strangle hold on poorer countries, plus those stock piles which are huge, do make a percentage of a farmers income, which they HAVE to surrender to the EU, if you don't believe me go ask a farmer

Diallo also doesn't count, because they told him to halt, the first move he made was to reach down into his jacket pocket, which is instinctively viewed as reaching for a gun, so their reaction was to fire.

Nor does the guy in california who got his head slammed on the car by the officer, prior to that, the guy attacked the police officer. Not only that, but if you notice, there was a black officer standing next to him while he did it condoning it.

I didn't want to point the finger at the states but since you think the US is your paradise, go for it!
