All Star baseball 2001 freezing

i've been using PJ64 and 1964 for my emulation purposes, and this game has been giving me troubles. i am using the latest version of all the plugins and emulators, and it likes to crash/freeze on me during gameplay, but not in menus. i have tried every available setting that i could try with every plugin and still no change. PJ64 says under the status tab thing that there are "Isuues(core)". what does this mean and is there any way i can get this game to work? oh and im using All-star Baseball 2001 (U) [!].

uh yea, read over it about 500 times, and the other help file that came with it. it doesn't say anything about it being compatible or not. so what are these issues that is having with the core and can they be fixed? thats what i need to know.

There is a GameFAQ entry for this game with a workaround. Pause and unpause the game.

k i did the pause unpause thing and it didn't work. i got the new gamefaq file, i'm using all default settings. i noticed that the "idle" process is getting most of the cpu time when it dies and the pause unpause doesn't do jack for me. what am i doing wrong now?

anyone at all??!! im getting desperate. i would really like to have this game function properly....im not quite to the "will suck d**k for working roms" but im getting close.
