A Small (?) Problem

My friend (who told me about this emulator) told me he was able to play LoZ Ocarina of Time without using a joystick, just the keyboard. I'm not sure how he was able to do it.

I would like to just play with the keyboard; however none of the buttons I configure work. (Neither do the default settings.)

For example, I can't even start the game because the start button doesn't register. When I configure the controls it looks like it registers, but none of the controls do anything.



I'm a newb with emulators (I've only used a GBA emulator before), so I'm not sure what the problem is.
