3 errors 3 games...

...no one minds if I post all 3 at the same time do they ? Anyway...

Only 1 and 3 render the game unbeatable, 2 is just annoying.

-1st error-

Paper Mario(using PJ64 1.5)

Cache:Failed to translate:0
Cache:Failed to translate:20
Cache:Failed to translate:40
Cache:Failed to translate:60

These keep appearing after the star screen transition after Peach and Twink talk the 1st time. Each message is seperate and never stop and only in windowed mode. When in fullscreen screen hangs in white and if switched to windowed starts the error messages. Also, 0 is always 1st and keeps going in numerical order.

Paper Mario(using PJ64 1.6)

Cache:Failed to translate:3F27EF00
Cache:Failed to translate:3F27EF20
Cache:Failed to translate:3F27EF40 etc...

As you can see, same thing only it starts bigger. I've tried all the different settings for graphics that don't mess up the picture.


-2nd error-

Goldeneye:007(using PJ64 1.5)

In the 1st mission when you pass or sometimes get near the 1st gate a red/green/orange colored flare(?) with black lines in it starts shooting out the ground or sky...idk which. From the same place everytime as far as I can tell. It covers quite a bit of the screen making it hard to see sometimes. The angles it appears at change only when the character is moved and if you are far enough away it disappears.

In the mission with all the cargo boxes (forgot the name :p) the ground is black just like the sky.



I'm using an onboard video card, Intel 915 GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset.
No I haven't updated drives recently and I will do that asap.



-3rd error-

Donkey Kong 64(using PJ64)


Diddy and Tiny have major problem grabbing vines, they fly right through them. Once in a long while they actually catch. Donkey is fine, however, the error that makes the game unbeatable is in Angry Aztec. The Barrel Blast for Donkey in front of the Camel's temple doesn't work right. The 1st couple of auto-barrels don't shoot Donkey far enough and I have reloaded save states for hours straight trying to get to the next aimable barrel and trying when the sand is blowing/not blowing.



There they are. Now I'm not an expert on anything technical really and I've tried all I know to do with game settings so if anyone knows about a fix for these problems let me know please. Driver updates aren't going to help Donkey Kong IMO. The 'all access' cheat lets me through the above mention temple's door but once inside the music pads are already activated because of it so still no real progress.

Use Jabo's Direct3D6 plugin (Intel chips can't handle Jabo's Direct3D8 plugin) and make sure that your roms are good.

Goldeneye & DK errors resolved

Thanks for the reply. First, v1.5 only has Direct3D6 and 3D8 in v1.6 works just as good if not better for my video. The 1.5 I obtained only had 3D6 anyway, but it was given to me.

After comparing 1.5 and 1.6 playing Goldeneye I confirmed that the strange color flares only occur using certain cheats. It was either the 'walk through objects' or 'secret island' cheats. Probably the former, 'walk through' cheats do that sometimes. :p The roms all say they are good except for DK's core issue, Goldeneye force depth compare:splitscreen, and Paper Mario's strange menu and light flickering which are common I assume.

I updated/reinstalled my video drivers(may have already had the latest) but Paper Mario still gives the Cache:Failed to translate. Might start a new game to see if that helps.

Also, DK barrel blast works in 1.6 but still not in 1.5 .

DK64 still has some stability problems with PJ64 1.6. Make sure you use sync audio and the latest RDB.
