100% speed ???

i have 117 roms & not one of them plays @ full speed except for super mario 64,others play @ full speed for the first level then go slow........???

when will there be a full speed emu :cry: :cry: :cry:

System Specs :

AMD XP 1800+(1.5Ghz)
256MB DDR RAM

Geforce 2 mx 440 64MB AGP+Tv Out

full speed as in a steady 59-60 fps? or full speed as in what? my system is almost identical to yours...

athlonXP 1800+
512mbs ddr ram
maxtor 40gb 7200rpm hd
(had) geforce2mx 400 32mb
winXP home edition

It's not the emu's problem as every single game i have (40+ roms) run at full speed (60fps). with the fps limiter off i get 150-250 fps depending on the game. There must be some other problem but it doesn't sound like something with the emulator or even settings. Seems like some compute problem. Have the task manager on when you play and see what it's like when you start pj64 up and what it's like when it starts slowing down. Make sure all other programs are off and none are running in the background.



ps. i say (had) geforce2 because i am now the proud owner of a geforce4 4200ti. all for 128$!!!!!!!!!

i have a very similar machine, and let me say: the geforcemx lacks a little power, go get ANY ti. it will do much better. what resolution/plugin are you using? and oh yeah, EVERYTHING ALWAYS runs better in full screen. i don't know why, but this is i swear to god an absolute truth. just so you know.

also, try the 32 bit mode on many games in 1964, i get identical performance to a n64 with that setting in very high resolutions :)

lol.... well i've been doing the bulk of my testing in 1964.... as usual... and there are like 3 options that could be construed as link blocking. but thnx 4 being nice!
