0.25 Alpha BIOS problems

Hi all;

I just downloaded the 0.25 alpha of Chankast, and it doesn't want to load my games, even with a virgin BIOS. I had the same problem going from 0.1 to 0.2, and that was fixed by extracting a fresh copy of the BIOS, but now not even that works. Can anyone help?

NVidia; GeForce4 Ti4400. It worked with the previous alphas, and works to display the Dreamcast menu in this one, so I don't see how it could be the problem.

The problem was that whenever I started a game, it would ask me the time and date twice, then bump me into the menu. When this happened with the 0.2 alpha, using a fresh BIOS fixed it, and the games loaded properly. It was doing the same thing, so I tried re-extracting the BIOS, which didn't work. However, I fixed it now by re-extracting both Chankast and the BIOS, starting with totally fresh copies of both.

set read only on the properties, to avoid a new bios corrupted...

Good idea, thanks.

BTW: Anyone know whether it'll ever save the system time?

Well being read only I think the emu will be struggling to write the time values to the BIOS. Correct me if I'm wrong.

as i know, the time value isn't written... every time you change the time value (in the bios, when read only is unset), the bios will ask you to enter the time value the next time you will launch chankast... and the only way to stop that is to not enter any value when it ask you that...

EDIT* to be honest, the time value must be written somewhere in bios to be compared with the clock of the dreamcast, or it will not ask you to enter this value again... but since we don't have dreamcast clock, we can set "read only"...
