PJ64.net down?

Hey. I've been using PJ64 since the days of 1.3. I've recently come across this horrible thing called High School, and it's sucked up all my time. but now that it's almost over, I'm trying to get it set up again. I've formatted my computer since the last time I've used PJ64. But the site nolonger works for me. I've been able to find a copy of PJ64 1.5b1, but it looks from the forums that a 1.5final is out.

can anyone point me to a mirror download, or tell me that the site is down, so I don't feel like I'm going crazy? I'd really appreciate this.

WOOOHOOOO! I can finally help someone. See up near the top of the screan where it says "EmuTalk.net > N64 Emulation > Project64 > PJ64.net down?"?

Click on the "EmuTalk.net" link, and scroll down to the bottom of the page. There's a section called "Downloads". Click on that, and I think the rest is pretty much self-expanatory...If not, you don't need to be in emulation...  (j/k)

thanks much guys. Sorry I didn't see that, guess I was 1/2 asleep or something.

But, does that mean PJ64.net is down? or is it just me? I set up some proxy software, and even the proxies say it's down. Am I just running into bad luck, or what?

I just checked "Page not Found"... looks like either:

A. someone forgot to renew the address

B. server problems

C. byebye PJ64.net

I'm hoping for B, A is okay...

Ugh, didn't think it was possible to lose a domain considering all their renewal warnings they send out. Oh well :(

I'll setup ye good old pj64.emulation64.com domain again (made it forward to pj64.net earlier) for now and hope it's not too late to renew the domain for the pj64 team. :)

This may sound kinda stupid, but why renew it? The team has officially quit work on PJ64, so why keep the domain? I do see why you want to keep the site, though. Its always a valuable thing...

because most of the docs and abouts point to pj64.net. Plus, it is alot better than typing in pj64.emulation64.com imo

i'd contribute a buck or two...you should make a fund. :pj64:

How much will renewal cost you?

I miss the days when you could renew directly with the internic. Now you have to work through a company, whom you might have very little use for. Damn commercialism. Then again, back then it was expensive, like 100 bucks for 2 years or something like that.

Renewal would be like $10-20... Start a fund? *grin* Maybe starting a fund for bandwidth, but really the fee for getting a domain is only nominal. Kinda analogous to a "$3 fee for the key to a $30k car." Unless of course it's registered with a company that royally as... Erm... screws you over.

I guess that if PJ64 is not going to go anywhere from now on, then yeah why not pay for something you do not need.

all I care is that Jabo keeps up with his stuff with the emulation, even if it is only working on Jnes, Ill live

IDEA:

Maybe I missed it above, but why not reregister PJ64.net and use it as a redirect to where the site is now?

Or set up the project64.emulation64.net or whatever (I don't use that site, I only use the message boards) to redirect straight to the old server rather than just giving them temporary webspace (Isn't that what they did?)

I think most people upon finding the links in the docs broken will either Google for it, or go back to where they found it for info (Or bitch on a forum, bleh)
