How do you guys play Mission Confidential?

Both these progs don't work for me somehow. I'm running Win2k and require mouse support for Confidential Mission but joytokey, upon execution, displays a msg saying I need DirectX6 I think. Dinput seems to work until CM's echelon screen. Then I hit start and Chankast brings me to the Dreamcasts...

I mount vs.cdi using Alcohol and I can access the files when I enter my virtual drive but Chankast, upon loading, shows a spinning CD with a timer on the right that's on 8secs?
